What you need to know


GENERAL INFORMATION

How to Register:
1. Click the Register link at the top (computer) / click the drop down link on a phone
2. Fill out the registration page one, click waiver
3. Fill out first child and click week(s) in the boxes
4. Click add child
5. Fill out second child and add child
6. When you have added all your kids, click proceed to payment
7. You may pay by credit card, cheque instalments or etransfer (retransfer has become the most popular)
IMPORTANT: If you have clicked into the credit card screen, you cannot return and add or change anything. If you have issues , please call 2046690415 or 2047710369)

Camp Ages:
-For kids entering Kindergarten to Grade 7 in Fall 2021


Cancellation:
-Refund minus $25 registration fee per child per camp week can be given for any cancellation done before June 15
-No refunds past June 15 (if due to medical, we will address on a case by case basis)
-IF GOV'T SHUTDOWN OCCURS, WE WILL ISSUE A FULL REFUND

-If the government increases the numbers past 50 per week, we would open up a second registration date to allow for more.
-If the government restricts us to less than 50 per week, (eg. 30 max) we would allow for the first 30 who registered and issue a full refund to the remaining.


DDC Covid Protocols:
-Masks mandatory indoors and on the bus
-Bus seating will include one child per seat except with siblings
-Temperature Checks will be taken each morning before entering building
-If kids have any symptoms, please keep them at home
-Frequent hand washing and sanitizing methods will be adhered to
-If your child has left the province within 14 days of the start of camp, they will not be able to attend.


---------- FAQ's. ----------

Q. What time does the camp run from and til? How early can I drop off my child?
A. Camp hours are 9:00am - 4:30pm. We offer Extended Care from 8:30am - 5:00pm (no additional charge)

Q. Why can't I register for more than 2 weeks this summer?
A. Since we are forced to run a smaller capacity, we still want to give more opportunity for others to attend.

Q. Is there a waiting list? I want to send my child to a week that is full.
A. We do have a waiting list for each week. If someone cancels, we choose people on the waiting list (first come first serve). Just email ddc@centerpointwinnipeg.ca to be added to the list.

Q. What is your staff to camper ratio?
A. We provide a staff to camper ratio of 6:1

Q. My child wants to be in a group with a friend or friends. Is that possible?
A. Yes, we allow for the kids to choose who they would like in their group on day 1 of camp.

Q. What happens on days with bad weather or weather that is too hot?
A. We have indoor alternative activities ready to go and sometimes we will switch days that week that work with the weather. Sending a bathing suit each day helps us make daily decisions based on weather.

Q. I want my child to wear a lifejacket while swimming.
A. If you send a life jacket, we will get your child to wear it. We do have some extra life jackets if needed. Please do send and strap it to their backpack.
